We are pleased to highlight
Brian Stolar, who joined the Firm as a Partner and concentrates his practice in the areas of zoning and land use planning, real estate development, municipal law, and litigation. He represents private property owners and municipalities, and appears regularly before municipal boards in connection with land use applications. Mr. Stolar is the Village Attorney for the Village of Sea Cliff, and has served as counsel to numerous other municipalities and planning and zoning boards on Long Island. He has taught continuing legal education courses and published several articles on land use law, planning law and the law of eminent domain. Mr. Stolar also has lectured on land use and municipal law topics for the Nassau County Bar Association and the Nassau County Planning Federation. Brian and his family live in Old Bethpage, New York, where
they enjoy being active in community sports organizations. |

We are also pleased to highlight
Jason Kaplan, who joined the Firm as an associate. Before joining the Firm, he served as an associate in two Garden City law firms. Previously, he was a law clerk for General Electric Company, where he focused on Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) matters on behalf of the Corporate Environmental Programs EHS management. He also served as a legal intern in the Environmental Protection Bureau of the New York State Attorney General�s office, and on the Environmental Team at Holland & Knight�s Washington D.C. office. Mr. Kaplan has been appointed as the New York State Bar Association�s Young Lawyers Section Co-Liaison to the Environmental Law Section, as well as Co-Chair of the Environmental Law Section�s Membership Committee. Mr. Kaplan is also a Young Professionals Group member of the Nature Conservancy and a member of the U.S. Green Building Council � Long Island Chapter. Jason is an active alumnus of Colgate University, and represents Colgate at college fairs across Long Island. Jason currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. Away from the office, Jason enjoys a myriad of activities. Jason studies improv comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Manhattan and performs within the five boroughs. He is also an avid golf and tennis player and loves to cook. He has recently returned from hiking in the Peruvian Andes and visiting Machu Picchu. |

and his wife, who recently became proud grandparents to a
second baby grandson. Michael's son, a highly
accomplished global real estate portfolio manager, and his wife, live in
Manhattan. We wish them all the best!
We welcome to the Firm our newest
staff member, Teresa Salzan, and our summer associate, Jenna
Gallagher, who is joining us for a second consecutive year.
